European Approvals - ENEC

Nuvotem Talema demonstrate superior technical expertise by being the only toroidal transformer manufacturer in the world to have a "General Approval" of power transformers to EN61558.

Through working closely with KEMA our engineering teams have the unique ability to design custom power transformers, within agreed design constraints, which are immediately approved by KEMA to EN61558 and EN60950.

These "Families" may be divided as follows:

Non Short-Circuit Proof - Isolating Transformers
Non Short-Circuit Proof - Safety Isolating Transformers
Non Inherently Short-Circuit Proof - Safety Isolating Transformers

2060938.02 : Non Short-Circuit Proof - Isolating Transformers
As the name implies, these Isolating transformers provide electrical isolation between input and output circuits, and rely on external IEC127 fuses to provide overload protection of the secondary windings.

Up to 6 primary windings
Up to 10 Secondary windings
Maximum total power rating: 3000VA
Maximum Input voltage : 440V
Maximum Output voltage : 250V

2060938.03 : Non Short-Circuit Proof - Safety Isolating Transformers
These Safety-Isolating transformers provide electrical isolation between input and SELV output circuits, and rely on external IEC127 fuses to provide overload protection of the secondary windings.

Up to 6 primary windings
Up to 10 Secondary windings
Maximum total power rating: 3000VA
Maximum Input voltage : 440V
Maximum Output voltage : 50V (SELV Limit)

2060938.01 : Non Inherently Short-Circuit Proof - Safety Isolating Transformers
These Safety-Isolating transformers provide electrical isolation between input and SELV output circuits, and rely on an internal "thermal switch" to provide overload protection.

Up to 2 primary windings
Up to 2 Secondary windings
Maximum total power rating: 300VA
Maximum Input voltage : 240V
Maximum Output voltage : 50V (SELV Limit)

IEC 950 Approvals

As well as power transformer approvals to IEC 950 / EN60950, Nuvotem Talema also have an approved range of ISDN S Interface modules, fully certified to IEC 950 / EN60950 Supplementary level.
